Clarkson, Hammond and May Live “Top Gear Festival” – Drive & Thrive 2015

“What an honour it was to be part of this thrilling, incredible, adrenaline-filled, and enjoyable three-day event! The cars, the crowd, the team, the organizers… simply a world-class affair, undoubtedly the event of 2015,” exclaimed Bernadette.

Bernadette Rigney, the Director of fAbility, has actively participated in the Annual Drive & Thrive Events for the past three years. “Joining the Drive & Thrive Team alongside the Top Gear Team this year was such an honour. As the event kicked off, it was heartwarming to see this diverse event unfold, where everyone who attended was simply there for the love of cars, adrenaline, and stunts. There was no distinction between disability or ability; we all equally enjoyed the weekend,” she expressed.

fAbility, renowned for adding a touch of glamour to any event, certainly lived up to its reputation. The week began on Monday, June 8, 2015, with South African singer Danny K announcing the two wheelchair ticket winners on Radio Today’s Cavall’s World Show.

Friday, June 12, 2015 – Day 1: Wheelchair ticket winners Solomon Sedibane and Andy Smith attended the Clarkson, Hammond, and May Live Show featuring stuntman Ken Block. fAbility extended an invitation to the City of Johannesburg’s Communications “Guru” Gaynor Noyce as the VIP guest.

Saturday, June 13, 2015 – Day 2: South African power couple Weez SA Rapstar and Chantelle Swart, Mrs South Africa 1st Princess & Mrs World top 10 contestant, along with Helga Barkhuizen, Miss South Africa International 2012 and serial entrepreneur, joined the event as celebrity guests.

Sunday, June 14, 2015 – Day 3: Dylan Da Silva, a Paralympic athlete and inspirational figure, attended the final day of the event. This young man has captured South Africa’s attention with his determination to conquer any goal or adventure with no limitations.

The Clarkson, Hammond, and May Live Event at Ticketpro Dome was the place to be for everyone. From celebrity guests to organizers and the audience, everyone had a fantastic time. The event truly lived up to its expectations as a world-class spectacle.
