Fierce and fabulous entrepreneur
August 2020
In 2014 Bernadette Rigney set a target to modernize the disability sector, transforming the stereotype. Fability was born. The company has pioneered initiatives which have gained international exposure with the aim to help individuals design their dream careers, businesses and reach their goals.
We chatted to Bernadette recently about her personal and entrepreneurial journey.
Here’s a snippet…
Question: Where did the name Fability come from and what does it represent to you?
Bernadette: It came from two words – Fabulous Ability. I wanted to focus on the more fun lifestyles of persons with disabilities. Disability is always associated with charity, no one focuses on empowerment and I wanted to shine a light on it.

More disabled people are beginning to follow suit, starting up their own businesses.
